If you do not know what to get your Mother for Mother's day, or you want to do something in memory of your mother..give the gift of life..donate money to a shelter for the purpose of keeping a animal alive that's time has run out., or even adopt a pet. Go to Petfinder.com to find shelters near you. Reading "Twas the Night Before Christmas" in May is my statement of my feelings for animals, esp. for me Dogs"Twas the Night Before Christmas "Twas the night before Christmas when all thru the house Not a creature was stirring not even a mouse. The stockings were hung by the chimney with care In hopes that St. Nick soon would be there. The children all nestled snug in their beds With no thought of the dog filling their head. And mom in her kerchief and I in my cap Knew the dog was cold, but didn't care about that. When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter. Away to the window I flew like a flash Figuring the dog was free of his chain and into the trash. The moon on the breast of the new fallen snow gave the luster of mid-day to objects below. When what to my wondering eyes should appear But Santa Claus with his eyes full of tears. He unchained the dog once so lively and quick Last year's Christmas present now painfully sick. More rapid than eagles he called the dog's name and the dog ran to him despite all his pain. Now Dasher, now Dancer, now Prancer and Vixen On Comet on Cupid on Donner and Blitzen. To the top of the porch to the top of the wall Let's find this dog a home where he will be loved by all. I knew in an instant there would be no gifts this year For Santa had made one thing quite clear. The gift of a dog is not just for the season We had gotten the dog for all the wrong reasons. In our haste to think of the kids a gift There was one important thing we missed A Dog should be family, and cared for the same You don't give a gift, then put it on a chain. And I heard him explain as he rode out of site, "You weren't given a gift, you were given a life."Author unknown - copied from Los Cabos Humane Society
Ash, Alli and I help the Abused, Neglected, or Unwanted Dogs. Please Spay and neuter. Rescue animals instead of supporting breeding or buying animals when THOUSANDS of animals are euthanized EACH YEAR!!!! You wouldn´t BELIEVE how many dogs and cats come into shelters EVERY day - they are either surrendered by families who no longer want them, or found dumped and left to fend for themselves on the streets, or simply lost and never claimed...Think LONG TERM when you adopt a pet. They are in YOUR hands where they trust and love you and rely on YOU for their care, love, well being their ENTIRE LIVES. They are truly innocent and defenseless, and ultimately, helpless in our human hands! It happens more often than not that people who get new puppies or kitties only love their pets when they are babies and once they start growing, or need to be potty trained, or they simply get bored with them, etc., the animals are no longer wanted. The horrible stories we could tell you about the cruel and terrible ways people try to get rid of their animals would make you cry your eyes out. Awful deaths and terrible existences for the ones that do live, on the streets, starving, injured, and sick from untreated diseases that could have been prevented from simple and inexpensive vaccinations, only to have MORE unwanted litters of kittens or dogs, and the same thing happens to THEM. Please don't turn your head away from an ongoing situation you see. Don't be afraid to speak out You could make a huge difference in an animal life. Neglected and abused animals live out their existence every day hoping for love and always eager to forgive, but aren't given that chance. They succumb to lonely depression, untreated illnesses, and horrible, drawn-out deaths....No living creatures deserve that, but especially as a result of humans.Thank you for your kind heart, and compassion,in helping improve the life and well being of the innocent animals.
Wishing you enough with God's blessings,Robin
